Sixteen years of scouring the Tuscan Countryside, and I still wonder to myself, why did it take so long for me to appreciate this dazzling springtime display?

  1. Thanks for writing about Poppies. I had no idea there were so many different kinds. They are the most representative flower in the world and evoke so many different feelings in people and you have captured their essence. Your paintings are so deep and rich. Please elaborate more next season. I’m subscribing to your blog.

    • I agree, your paintings are so rich and deep. You do such justice to the beauty of Tuscany. Not like that dreck they hang in the Olive Garden. The shit they put on the walls is almost as bad as the shit serve for food. Sad and offensive. True Italian food is a thing of beauty. Simplicity and elegance. A real Italian chef can take the same four ingredients and rock your world for a lifetime, Can take a tomato from fresh to asciutto, garlic from raw to roasted. Pure heaven. Olive Garden is a big McDonald’s. The place makes me wanna puke.
